Physical Therapy

We focus on restoring strength and mobility, enabling individuals to sit, stand, walk, run, and perform daily activities independently. It helps strengthen muscles, reduce joint stiffness, and prevent deformities. We provide specialized exercises, gymnasium sessions, and suspension walking to enhance physical well-being.

Occupational Therapy

We focus on essential daily living skills, including toilet training, dressing, eating, and drinking, to promote independence. Sensory stimulation through Snoezelen therapy enhances relaxation and engagement, while participation in household chores fosters responsibility and confidence.

Hydro Therapy Pool

Our hydrotherapy pool provides a soothing and supportive environment where the buoyancy of water helps relax muscles and joints. Structured exercises combined with play make therapy both effective and enjoyable for children. To ensure comfort and inclusivity, separate sessions are held for boys and girls.

Speech Therapy

Many children with cerebral palsy experience speech limitations. Alongside speech therapy, alternative communication methods such as flashcards and sign language are used to enhance communication skills. Dedicated sign language classes are also provided to support children in expressing themselves effectively.

Computer Education

Computer knowledge is important in today’s world, especially for children with CP. Many find it easier to press a key than to write, and those with speech difficulties can express themselves through typing. Access to computers and the internet opens new opportunities for learning, communication, and independence.

Vocational Training

Our vocational training program focuses on improving hand coordination and developing practical skills. Activities such as painting, Mehndi application, cooking, and managing a tuck shop empower individuals with creativity, independence, and a sense of accomplishment.

Appliances Orthotics

Custom-made appliances are provided to children for the hands, elbows, knees, and chest to support their mobility and comfort. Special appliances are also designed to assist with tasks such as holding pencils and spoons. These essential aids are provided free of charge to those in need.

Games

Games are played twice a week, with cricket being the favorite, followed by badminton and wheelchair races. These activities provide both physical exercise and enjoyment, promoting teamwork and fitness.

Transport

We offer a door-to-door pick-up and drop-off service across all parts of Karachi with a fleet of 8 vans. For safety, all children are securely strapped in, and each van is accompanied by a female attendant to ensure comfort and care.

Modality Table

The modality table is designed to improve essential skills such as eye-hand coordination, visual and tactile perception, and bilateral hand function. Through a range of interactive exercises, it engages children in activities that stimulate sensory processing and fine motor skills. This tool helps enhance both cognitive and physical abilities, promoting better coordination and overall functional development.

Gymnasium

Our gymnasium is equipped with specialized tools and equipment to support children in developing strength, coordination, and mobility. Under the guidance of trained therapists, this safe and adaptive space promotes physical growth and enhances overall well-being, fostering independence and confidence.

Special Education Pre-Academic

AURA’s Special Education Pre-Academic program is designed to prepare children with Cerebral Palsy for structured learning environments. Through individualized plans and engaging activities, we focus on building foundational skills such as attention, communication, and basic concepts. This program lays the groundwork for future academic and social success.

Garden Play Area

The Garden Play Area at AURA provides children with a fun and therapeutic outdoor space to explore, play, and interact with nature. This vibrant area is designed to support sensory stimulation and motor skill development and encourages physical activity and social engagement in a refreshing environment.

Snoezelen

AURA’s Snoezelen room offers a multisensory experience for relaxation and sensory stimulation. Equipped with calming lights, sounds, and textures, it provides a therapeutic setting to reduce stress, enhance focus, and promote emotional regulation for children with diverse sensory needs.

Tuck Shop

Our Tuck Shop not only offers snacks but also serves as a platform for children to practice social and practical skills. Through supervised interactions, children learn money management, communication, and decision-making, fostering independence and real-world readiness.

Behaviour Therapy

AURA’s Behaviour Therapy program focuses on understanding and addressing behavioral challenges to support emotional well-being. Our therapists work closely with children and families to develop strategies that enhance positive behaviors, communication, and coping skills in daily life.

Inclusive Section

AURA integrates 80 local children and 10 children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) from KG to Class 5, fostering social interaction and mutual learning. This inclusive environment boosts self-esteem, nurtures friendships, and prepares children for community involvement. AURA also provides all necessary stationery, uniforms, and essentials to support every student's education.
