Differently Abled Scouts, 2023

On Friday, 3rd March 2023, at 10:00 am, a group of twelve students from the AURA Center Adolescent CP & Inclusive School Section, accompanied by three staff members and Mrs. Shaheena Mehboob, an AURA Life Member, embarked on an enjoyable visit to the Second Sindh Differently Abled Scouts Agoonoree. The event was organized under the leadership of Mr. Akhtar Mir, the Chief Organizer. It commenced with a serene recitation of verses from the holy Quran, followed by the hoisting of the national flag and the singing of the national anthem, fostering a sense of unity and patriotism among all attendees. Upon arriving at the venue, the schools were directed to their respective allotted camps. The scouts present at the event generously offered their assistance, guiding the AURA students and staff to their designated campsite. Notably, the Noorul Ilm Academy's tent was located next to theirs. A heartening sight awaited the AURA students at the neighboring tent, where the blind students from Noorul Ilm Academy had set up a stall showcasing their hand-made jewelry, calendars, and various other items. The AURA CP Adolescent Students and Students of the Inclusive Section took the initiative to visit their stall and interact with the talented individuals, showing great empathy and respect for their efforts. Throughout the day, the AURA tent received visits from several guests and media persons who showed interest in the activities and experiences of the AURA students. The young minds from AURA had the opportunity to showcase their talents, achievements, and projects they had been working on, leaving a lasting impression on the visitors. Overall, the Second Sindh Differently Abled Scouts Agoonoree proved to be a wonderful platform for the AURA Center's adolescent CP and inclusive school section children to not only enjoy a day of fun and camaraderie but also to learn valuable lessons in inclusivity, empathy, and compassion for individuals with different abilities. The event left a positive impact on everyone involved and further strengthened the bonds of friendship and understanding among the participating schools and organizations.
